About Me
I work with thin, fluid acrylic washes on raw canvas, using the fluidity of the paint to explore the beauty of nature, light, and the passing of time. My process is meditative—it’s about slowing down, letting the paint do its thing, and staying in the moment.
Painting helps calm my mind, and I want to create work that has that same calming effect on others. I’m drawn to how weather and nature feel in the abstract—soft colors, flowing forms, and layers of light that shift as you look at them. Each piece is meant to feel light, open, and full of quiet energy—like a simple pause in the middle of everything else.
I paint because it gives me a sense of peace and connection–a moment of stillness in a world that’s always moving. I hope the work offers a bit of that back to anyone who sees it.
I am a Belgian-Filipino-American born in the Philippines. After immigrating to California as a child, I went on to receive a BFA from the University of California, Santa Cruz. As life would have it, I ended up with a career in marketing and technology. There wasn’t much time for artistic endeavors. Years later I picked up a paintbrush and kept going. I moved to coastal Maine and now have a beautiful red barn studio.
